The History of Diamond Envelope

Diamond Envelope Corporation started out as a dream and idea by Alan Jania on July 2nd, 1984. The company was started in the basement of his house and quickly moved into a 35,000 square foot facility in Broadview, Illinois. They had only two converting machines with no print capabilities, one die-cutter and one jet press. Diamond Envelope was on a mission to succeed and soon bought its first high-speed print and converting machine. As Diamond continued to grow, Broadview became too small, and the company moved to a new facility in Naperville, Illinois. Diamond, now operating out of 50,000 square feet, soon bought its fourth 527 machine. With this new machine and the other four converting machines, Diamond Envelope was servicing many clients with quality, speed, and excellent customer service.

In 2000, Diamond Envelope relocated into a 100,000 square foot facility in Aurora to call home, and we continue to grow and operate out of this same facility. In 2008, Diamond Envelope signed a contract for a machine purchase of three SRW enhanced flexo web converting machines. These machines were installed in 2008, 2010, and 2012, and a fourth SRW was added in 2016. The SRWs continue to be the backbone of our manufacturing, along with three 527s and two all-purpose 326 Classic machines.

Diamond Envelope was started with a mission of building timeless relationships with outstanding customer service. That motto and mission has never changed and continues to be the core focus of all our employees. With over 80 employees working 24/7, we manufacture over 1 billion envelopes annually. Our employees have the knowledge and experience to give each customer the confidence that the job will get done right. We move fast and by using our support platforms and dedicated team, the quality and response time continue to be at the forefront of our success and growth. As Diamond Envelope faces new challenges in its future, we are ready to diversify and expand our product line to remain the best option for all of our customers' needs.

Our Founder - Alan Jania

Alan worked in the envelope industry many years, gaining plenty of knowledge and experience. After working for various envelope manufacturing companies, he decided to start his own company. Diamond Envelope has continued to grow beyond Alan's vision, and his spirit remains in the employees at Diamond Envelope.
